I had a notion of depicting a mundane event in a sinister way. Just wanted to see how far I could use camera angles, lighting and texture to evoke a sense of dread. The hoods helped, too...

Loose brushwork with just enough detail to provide some context, while keeping the read quick and ambiguous was my goal here. The abstraction is mostly on the conceptual level

in much the same way, the piece has only a few obvious points of reference while leaving the major story threads disconnected. The viewer must attempt to construct a narrative with only information they are able to suss out and guess at the rest. So basically this is an illiterate version of Choose Your Own Adventure
